Sound Reasoning Ministries is a ministry designed to educate, train, and empower Christians in the area of apologetics. Sound Reasoning Ministries (SRM) is the vision of Christian Apologist Perseus Poku.
Through a concise user friendly curriculum, SRM was designed to bring the knowledge often found in the ivory towers of seminary down to the steeple towers of the local church.
It is the mission of SRM to train Christians on the essentials of the Christian faith. In addition, SRM strives to provide believers with the tools needed to defend the doctrines associated with classical theism.
In order to effectively train Christians in defending the faith, SRM has chosen three areas of interests. The first is the local apologetic workshop training. SRM has collaborated with numerous local churches to expose lay Christians to the concept of Christian apologetics. Each lesson offered on the local level is modified to fit the audience.
Our second area of interest is our local radio show called Sound Reasoning. The Sound Reasoning radio show airs twice a week on Salem Media Group station KFIA 710AM/105.7FM in Sacrsmento, CA. This show has impacted the lives of many Christians who tune in on a weekly basis. In addition, the Sound Reasoning Radio show has featured some of the top Christian apologists in the nation (e.g. Dr. Norman Geisler, JP Moreland, Greg Koukl, Jill Martin Rische, Gary Habermas…etc.).
Our third and final area of interests is our annual apologetics boot camp. The boot camp was created to train Christian youth. Youth who attend the apologetics boot camp are taught how to defend their faith through philosophy and science. Moreover, students are given an opportunity to ask the hard questions many have concerning the Christian faith. Perseus Poku has an A.A. in Education from Cosumnes River College, a B.A. in History from California State University, and a Masters in Christian apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary. He is the President of Sound Reasoning Ministries which provides training on how to articulate and defend the basic tenets of Christianity. In addition, Mr. Poku has over thirty-five years training Christians on sound doctrine. He is also the author of “Bible Answers to 110 Doctrinal Questions.”
